Saakashvili: Turkish PM, Businesmen to Visit Georgia
Following a meeting with the Turkish President Ahmet Necdet Sezer on June 28, Georgian President Mikheil Saakashvili told reporters that a large delegation of Turkish businessmen, headed-up by Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan, would pay an official visit to Georgia on August 11.
The Turkish news agency, Anadolu, reports Saakashvili as saying that the enhancement of economic cooperation and the facilitation of border transitions would be taken up during Erdogan’s visit to Georgia.
President Saakashvili is visiting Istanbul, Turkey, for the NATO Heads of State and Government Summit.
