IMF Executive Director Visits Georgia

Jeroen Kremers, Executive Director of the International Monetary Fund (IMF), is visiting Georgia.

He met with the President of Georgian National Bank, Irakli Managadze, and Parliamentary Chairperson Nino Burjanadze on June 30. Talks with the Prime Minister are also scheduled.

?We have discussed the current economic situation in the country,? Irakli Managadze told reporters after the meeting with the IMF Executive Director.

A proposed draft of the new tax code will also be discussed during the Kremers’ talks with the Georgian officials.
