Georgian Border Guards Undergo U.S.-funded Exercises
15 Georgian border guards will participate in week long, U.S.-funded exercises, which will be launched in Adjara Autonomous Republic, on November 8.
The Georgian State Border Guard Department reported that during this week U.S. instructors will train officers from the Adjara and Akhaltsikhe regional border guard departments.
The training is conducted by enforcement officers from the United States Customs and Border Protection Bureau. The course is carried out by the U.S. Georgia Border Security and Law Enforcement Assistance Program, a program active for more than 6 years now.
Chairman of the Georgian Border Guard Department Badri Bitsadze will attend the exercises as well.
