Georgia, Italy Boost Economic Ties
Deputy Foreign Minister of Italy Margerita Boniver, who arrived in Georgia on November 23, held talks today with Georgian President Mikheil Saakashvili, Foreign Minister Salome Zourabichvili, Prime Minister Zurab Zhvania and Parliamentary Chairperson Nino Burjanadze.
The issue of bilateral economic cooperation between the two nations was discussed during the talks.
Within the frames of the visit, Kakha Sikharulidze, First Deputy Foreign Minister of Georgia and Margerita Boniver, Deputy Foreign Minister of Italy, signed a Joint Declaration on the Establishment of the Consultation Forum on Economic Relations between the governments of the two countries.
