Zhvania Confirms Anticipated Cabinet Reshuffle

Georgian Prime Minister Zurab Zhvania, who is visiting the United States, said on December 8 that a cabinet reshuffle is planned and the final decision will be made after his talks with President Saakashvili, upon the Prime Minister’s return to Georgia.


?I have been discussing possible changes in the government with the President for the past two weeks. I can not make any detailed comments regarding these changes at the moment. I will meet the President upon my arrival from the United States on Saturday [December 11] and discus the details. Afterwards, we will inform society regarding these changes,? Zurab Zhvania said in a telephone conversation with the Rustavi 2 television.

Georgian Prime Minister Zurab Zhvania confirmed on December 8 in an interview to the Rustavi 2 television that the structural changes are anticipated in the Interior Ministry; however he did not specify details.
