Georgian Border Guards Detain Two Chechens

On December8 Georgian border guards detained two citizens of the Russian Federation, ethnic Chechens, ?on the northern section of the Russian-Georgian border,? the Georgian Border Guard Service reported on December 9.  The Border Guard Service, however, refrained from specifying the exact place where the Russian citizens were arrested.
 
According to the Georgian State Border Guard Department, the detainees had topographic maps and USD 4,600 and Euro 1,000 with them.
