JCC to Meet in Tbilisi
Georgian State Minister for Conflict Resolution Issues Goga Khaindrava said, on December 18, that a meeting of the quadripartite Joint Control Commission (JCC), which oversees South Ossetian conflict resolution issues, will be held in Tbilisi on December 22-23.
?The issue of implementation of the Sochi agreement [on demilitarization on the South Ossetian conflict zone] will be discussed. This is the most important document, which defines a plan of action of the conflicting sides,? Goga Khaindrava said in an interview with the Rustavi 2 television on December 18.
He added that the co-chairmen of the Joint Control Commission, which involves representatives from the Georgian, South Ossetian, Russian and Russia?s North Ossetian republics, have already been notified regarding the forthcoming talks.
