Saakashvili to Visit Ukraine on New Year’s Eve

Georgian President Mikheil Saakashvili will visit Ukraine on New Year’s eve to personally congratulate Victor Yushchenko on his victory in December 26 presidential elections.

“I thought a lot about it and decided that my presence there, in this decisive moment for the Ukrainian people, will be very important for our country and our friendship,” Mikheil Saakashvili told reporters on December 30.


Georgian media reported that Mikheil Saakashvili will make his New Year address to the nation live from the Ukrainian capital Kiev.
