Russian Minister Says Moscow not to Reconcile with Terrorism in Georgia

(Tbilisi, September 10, 2002, Civil Georgia) – Russian Foreign Minister Igor Ivanov stated, “Russia will not reconcile with terrorism in Georgia.”

“Terrorists harboring in Georgia’s Pankisi gorge regularly infiltrate into Russia and carry out terrorist attacks,” Igor Ivanov told the reporters upon his arrival in New York on September 9.

Russian officials call the anti-criminal operation, carried out by the Georgian law enforcers in Pankisi, a “stage show.”
