Abkhaz CEC: 30% Voter Turnout Reported by Noon

Chairman of the Abkhaz Central Election Commission Batal Tabagua said at a news conference, on January 12, that by noon Wednesday, 30% of the eligible voters in Abkhazia had already cast their ballots in the presidential elections, RIA Novosti news agency reported.

At least half of the more than 113,000 registered voters in the region must cast a ballot in order to validate the elections.
