Georgia to Train 20,000 Reserve Troops in 2005
On January 12, President Saakashvili visited a training camp for the Georgian reserve forces in the village of Dzevera, in the Shida Kartli region, and said that 20,000 reservists will be trained by the end of 2005.
?We need the army not because we are preparing for war. We are preparing for victory and for establishment of real peace? If we want peace we should be strong,? President Saakashvili said while addressing 350 reservists undergoing training in the village of Dzevera, which is close to the South Ossetian conflict zone.
