South Ossetia to Halve Troops

President of breakaway South Ossetian Eduard Kokoev said on January 15 that the unrecognized republic will halve the number of its troops, Regnum news agency reported. Information about the current number of South Ossetian troops is not available.

Eduard Kokoev was speaking at a meeting with a delegation of the U.S. Congress officials, which is conducting a fact-finding mission in Georgia.
