Commission Set up to Supervise IPAP Implementation
On February 2 the Georgian government decided to set up a special commission to monitor implementation of those defense and political reform goals which are envisaged in Georgia?s Individual Partnership Action Plan, which was approved by NATO last October. Prime Minister Zurab Zhvania will chair the commission.
State Minister for Euro-Atlantic Integration Issues Giorgi Baramidze briefed the cabinet members regarding the IPAP at a governmental session on February 2.
?IPAP is a detailed plan of action and its fulfillment is obligatory, not only to the Defense Ministry but to other state structures as well,? Prime Minister Zurab Zhvania said at the session on February 2.
Details of Georgia?s IPAP still remain unknown, as according to the Defense Ministry the Georgian government has classified the document.
