FBI to Help with Forensic Exam over Zhvania’s Death
The U.S. Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) will provide forensic expertise during an investigation into the death of Prime Minister Zurab Zhvania, the Georgian Prosecutor’s Office reported.
“The materials for expertise have already been sent to the Federal Bureau of Investigation, however we do not know when the results will be ready,” Spokesperson for the General Prosecutor’s Office Khatuna Tskhvedadze told Civil Georgia on February 4.
The final results of the forensic examination conducted in Georgia will be known within 10-12 days.
According to official statements, the death of the Prime Minister was a tragic accident caused by carbon monoxide (CO) poisoning.
