‘Saboteurs’ Damage Power Line

The high-voltage Kavkasioni power line was damaged on by a bullet shot in the Kodori gorge, which is the only territory in breakaway Abkhazia under Tbilisi’s control, on January 7, Georgian Energy Minister Nika Gilauri said.

This is the second incident in less than a month wherein the Kavkasioni power line has been damaged by a bullet shot in the Kodori gorge.

Nika Gilauri also said that law enforcers are already informed regarding this incident. He said that the power line, which delivers electricity from Russia into Georgia, will be restored in two days.
