Saakashvili Holds Consultations over Prime Minister’s Candidacy

Georgian President’s spokesperson Alana Gagloeva said on Tuesday that Mikheil Saakashvili will announce his candidate for Prime Minister either on February 8, or February 9.

“President Saakashvili is holding consultations with the Parliamentary Chairperson [Nino Burjanadze] over the nomination of a new Prime Minister. He will also meet the Chairmen of the parliamentary factions. After this he will announce the new nomination. This will happen either today or tomorrow,” Alana Gagloeva told reporters on February 8.
