Water Supply System Breakdown in Kutaisi
A breakdown of the drinking water supply system left Georgia?s second largest city of Kutaisi, located in the western part of the country, without water on February 13. Officials say that repair work will last for five days.
Meanwhile, President Saakashvili instructed the government to use army reservists to help in distributing drinking water in Kutaisi and to send all water tankers available in Georgia there.
Kutaisi suffers with water supply problems for several years already, but only this recent incident with water supply system triggered authorities to react.
