PM Nominee Reiterates Unchanged Policy
Zurab Nogaideli, who has been nominated by the President as the new Prime Minister, reiterated on February 14 that the new cabinet will continue the policies that were being carried out by late Prime Minister Zurab Zhvania.
Zurab Nogaideli and a partially reshuffled cabinet met with parliamentarians from the ruling National Movement party on February 14 and presented their plan of action.
Parliamentary Chairperson Nino Burjanadze said that the cabinet’s plan of action is almost identical to that one presented by the government last December. A recent cabinet reshuffle was carried out in December, 2004.
“The policies carried out by the President and the former Prime Minister will remain unchanged,” Nogaideli said.
