Russia Insists on Tbilisi’s Binding Commitment to Solve Conflicts Peacefully
Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said on February 20 that there will be a provision in a comprehensive framework agreement between Georgia and Russia, according to which Tbilisi will undertake a binding commitment to solve the Abkhaz and South Ossetian conflicts solely through peaceful means, RIA Novosti news agency reported.
“The thesis over peaceful conflict resolution is certainly preserved and this will be surely become the subject of the great [framework] agreement,” Lavrov said in an interview to the Russia’s RTR television.
