Governmental Groups to Coordinate IPAP Implementation
Four working groups have been set up in the Georgian government in order to coordinate implementation of those four major directions of reforms, which are outlined by Georgia?s Individual Partnership Action Plan (IPAP) with NATO. These groups are as follow:
1. Foreign Minister Salome Zourabichvili will be in charge of political and security issues.
2. Defense Minister Irakli Okruashvili – defense, security and military issues;
3. Interior Minister Vano Merabishvili – public information, science, protection of environment, civil crisis management issues;
4. Finance Minister Valery Chechelashvili – administration and resource management issues.
Details of reform targets outlined by the IPAP remain unknown, as the Georgian government has classified the document. But, as the officials say the political part of the document will become public ?soon,? while the military part of the document will remain classified.
