Burjanadze: Discussion of Resolution Against Russian Bases not Planned Today

Parliamentary Chairperson Nino Burjanadze announced at the parliamentary session on March 9 that the draft resolution against Russian military bases stationed in Georgia will not be discussed at the session today.

?The draft resolution will be discussed on March 10, or not later than March 11,? she said, adding that the Parliamentary Committees for Defense and Security and Foreign Affairs are currently working over the amendments to the draft resolution.

Burjanadze?s statement was unexpected, as the meeting of the parliamentarians from the ruling National Movement party agreed earlier on March 9 to discuss the document at the session today.
