Saakashvili, Yushchenko Call on Kyrgyz Nation for Reconciliation
In a joint address to the Kyrgyz nation Georgian President Mikheil Saakashvili and his Ukrainian counterpart Victor Yushchenko call for finding a legitimate constitutional way out of the crisis.
?The Tulip Revolution manifested that revolutions can not be exported, they happen only where there are objective grounds in place. We have no intention to take any sides. The Kyrgyz people are the main source of power in the country? We call upon you [Kyrgyz people] to restore trust among each other, to find ways to the all- national reconciliation,? the joint address published by the Georgian President?s press office on March 31 reads.
This joint address was delivered to Kyrgyzstan by Georgian Foreign Minister Salome Zourabichvili and her Ukrainian counterpart Boris Tarasyuk on March 31.
The two Ministers got acquainted with the situation on the ground and expressed readiness for mediating at the talks between ex-President Askar Akayev and the representatives of the interim government.
