Georgian Foreign Minister Visits Moscow
Georgian Foreign Minister Salome Zourabichvili arrived in Moscow on Sunday, where she will meet her Russian counterpart Sergey Lavrov on April 25 in an attempt to make progress in talks over the withdrawal of two Russian military bases from Georgia.
She told reporters before her departure to Moscow that it is important to agree not only on a timeframe for the bases withdrawal, but also on specific details of this process.
The outcome of these talks will largely determine whether Georgian President Mikheil Saakashvili will visit Moscow on May 9 or not.
