Mindia Gadaev was appointed chief of the Revenue Service by Prime Minister Zurab Nogaideli on March 5.
The Revenue Service was set up under the Finance Ministry as a result of a merger of the Financial Police with the tax and customs departments.
Before the appointment Mindia Gadaev was executive director of the Municipal Development Fund, a state agency in charge of enhancing local self-governance financially and institutionally.
?We are now setting up the central apparatus of the Revenue Service and starting from April 1 we will launch the establishment of regional units, which will most likely last for six months,? Lexo Alexishvili said on March 5.
