Captured Abkhaz Militants Sent to Pre-Trial Detention

Seven Abkhaz militiamen captured by Georgian Interior Ministry forces after the September 20 clash were sent to two-month pre-trial detention on Saturday.

Meanwhile, the Abkhaz news agency, Apsnipress, reported that the Abkhaz armed forces remain on high alert, following the September 20 shootout, which left two Abkhaz militiamen dead and two others injured.
