Georgian Security Chief Visits Moscow

Secretary of the Georgian National Security Council Gela Bezhuashvili left for Moscow on July 11 in order to discuss with the current crisis in South Ossetia with Russian authorities.


Gela Bezhuashvili is expected to meet with his Russian counterpart Igor Ivanov.


President Saakashvili told reporters on July 11 that he spoke with the Secretary of the Russian Security Council by phone on July 10.


?We are in frequent contacts with our colleages in Russia to help defuse tensions in South Ossetia. We also have frequent talks with the United States,? Mikheil Saakashvili added.
