Georgian State Minister Visits Moscow to Attend South Ossetia Talks
Georgian State Minister for Conflict Resolution Issues Goga Khaindrava left for the Russian capital Moscow on July 13 in order to take part in negotiations with senior Russian officials over the situation in the South Ossetian conflict zone.
Secretary of the Georgian Security Council Gela Bezhuashvili is already in Moscow and may attend these talks as well. Reports say Khaindrava and Bezhuashvili will hold talks with Secretary of the Russian Security Council Igor Ivanov.
A qaudpartite meeting between Georgia, South Ossetia, Russian and North Ossetia within frames of the Joint Control Commission is also scheduled to take place in Moscow on July 14.
It is expected that the issues of seized Russian arms and the release of three Georgian peacekeepers, who still remain in custody in a Tskhinvali jail, will top the agenda of these talks.
