President to Set up Council to Monitor Human Rights

President Saakashvili said on July 19 that he will set up a council to monitor the human rights record in the country.


?This special council will be composed of representatives from human rights organizations. We will meet once in a month to discuss the problems related with human rights abuse,? President Saakashvili said on July 19, at the meeting with the newly created Tbilisi Patrol Police.


He also said that the council will be focusing on the activities of the Patrol Police as well.
