Kokoev Accuses Tbilisi of Violating Ceasefire Deal

On August 16 President of self-styled South Ossetian Republic Eduard Kokoev accused the Georgian side of violating ceasefire agreement signed by Kokoev and Georgian Prime Minister Zurab Zhvania separately on August 13.


He said that the Georgian side opened fire ?right after the signing of a ceasefire agreement in order to provoke armed clashes with the South Ossetian side.?


Identical accusations were made by Georgian Prime Minister Zurab Zhvania towards the South Ossetian side on August 16.
