Aeroflot Quits Talks over Purchasing Georgian Airlines

The Aeroflot-Russian Airlines company has pulled out of talks over purchasing Georgian flagship Airzena-Georgian Airlines company, the Aeroflot?s General Director Valeri Okulov said on September 8.

?The current political situation in Georgia makes our talks vague,? RIA Novosti news agency quoted Valeri Okulov as saying; however, he did not gave any further details.

In May, both Russian and Georgian companies admitted that they were negotiating over the deal. The Aeroflot made no secret that it wanted to buy controlling shares of Georgian Airlines.
