Saakashvili Holds Talks with Azerbaijani Foreign Minister

Georgian President Mikheil Saakashvili held talks today with Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Elmar Mamedyarov, who arrived in Georgia on September 28. 


The issues of bilateral cooperation, including the perspectives of regional cooperation, integration into European structures and construction of the Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan oil pipeline and the Baku-Tbilisi-Erzurum gas pipeline were discussed during their talks.


?We think that both Azerbaijan and Georgia should promote the development of the huge potential that exists here. We have similar positions on many issues,? the Azerbaijani Foreign Minister said at a news briefing on September 28.


Earlier, on September 28 Elmar Mamedyarov held talks with his Georgian counterpart Salome Zourabichvili and Prime Minister Zurab Zhvania.
