Bagapsh Claims Victory in Abkhazia

The main opposition contender in the Abkhazia presidential elections, Sergey Bagapsh, has claimed a victory. According to Abkhazia’s “Nuzhnaya Gazeta” daily, Bagapsh argues that he recieved 51.1% of the votes, while the current prime minister Raul Khajimba just 32.8%.

The data is reportedly based on protocols available to Bagapsh’s electoral headquarters from the district election commissions.

Bagapsh slammed Khajimba’s calls for annulling the elections.
