The President reaffirmed the United States’ support for Georgia’s sovereignty and territorial integrity, and welcomed President Saakashvili’s continuing commitment to democratic reform,” the White House statement says.
It also said that President Obama expressed his “appreciation for Georgia’s significant contribution to Afghanistan and the two leaders discussed their shared commitment to securing nuclear materials to reduce the threat of proliferation.”
