New Deputy Foreign Minister Appointed

Vakhtang Makharoblishvili has been appointed as new deputy foreign minister, replacing Gigi Gigiadze; the latter became Georgian ambassador to Denmark.

Before the new appointment, Makharoblishvili, a career diplomat, served as deputy permanent representative of Georgia to the United Nations.

Other five deputy foreign ministers, among them Davit Zalkaliani, Davit Dondua, Davit Jalagania, Khatuna Totladze and Zviad Gonadze have retained their posts after being re-appointed on November 28 following the confirmation of the new cabinet.
