Anticorruption Council Against the Power Ministries’ Commercial Activity

Anticorruption Council summoned Internal Affairs Minister, State Security Minister and Defense Minister to discuss the issue of commercial activities of the Ministries.

Anticorruption Council regards the kind of activity as the source of corruption, thus the Council demands that the commercial activities of the Ministries be prohibited.

The power Ministers are against intention. They claim that the commercial activity is a legal source of covering Ministries’ expenditures.

Anticorruption Council is the board established by President Shevardnadze to monitor how the state structures fulfill anticorruption verdicts issued by the President.
