Reformers’ faction Hopes to Cooperate with CUG
(Tbilisi. December 18. Civil Georgia) – The faction Movement for Democratic Reforms will cooperate with the Citizens’ Union of Georgia in case Zurab Zhvania and his associates take over the party at the meeting on December 22.
The CUG meeting will decide who will control the party – President and his supporters or the reformers, who criticize the President’s policy. Some politicians predict that the CUG will totally collapse after the meeting.
Members the Movement for Democratic Reforms faction hope that ex-Parliamentary Chairman Zurab Zhvania will gain control over the CUG.
The faction was formed yesterday and is supporter of MP Mikheil Saakashvili’s New National Movement party. The faction has only 10 members including Saakashvili.
