Anti-Terror War in Russia’ Interests – Russian Foreign Minister Says

(Tbilisi, March 16, Civil Georgia) – “Anti-terror war is in Russia’s interests. Sending US military instructors to Georgia is the part of fight against international terrorism,” Russian Foreign Minister Igor Ivanov in the interview to the Moscow-based radio company Mayak on March 16.

Ivanov stated that in this respect Russia made no unilateral concessions to the United States.

US military trainers are to arrive in Georgia in late March. They will prepare four battalions of Georgian Defense Ministry to crack down on terrorists hiding in Georgia’s Pankisi gorge.
