Zhvania’s Team Out of District Election Commissions

(Tbilisi, May 16, Civil Georgia) – Central Elections Commission [CEC] composed Tbilisi district election commissions on May 16. There is not a single member of Zhvania’s team in the district commissions.

Mainly the members of the Revival Union and New Rights party compose Tbilisi district elections commissions.

On May 7 CEC took the decision on the composition of the district commissions that caused protest from the New Rights and Revival Union as they considered that the commissions were composed mainly with the Zhvania’s team members. As result of the protest CEC canceled its own decision.     

Local self-governance elections are scheduled for June 2.
