Georgia’s Grateful to Ukraine

(Tbilisi, Civil Georgia, July 17, 2002) – Georgian Parliamentary Chairperson Nino Burjanadze told the reporters on July 16, after the meeting with Ukrainian Prime Minister Anatoly Kinakh that Georgia is grateful to Ukraine for the Support at the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly.

At the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly in Berlin Nino Burjanadze expressed protest concerning the granting Russian citizenship to the residents of the breakaway Abkhazia.

Georgian Parliamentary Chairperson said that the support of Ukraine and other states was vital for Georgia.

“Georgian Parliament is ready to support further development of relations between Georgian and Ukraine,” Nino Burjanadze said.
