EU Envoy Discussed Shaw’s Case with Shevardnadze

(Tbilisi, Civil Georgia, July 22, 2002) – Representative of the European Union’s commissioner for the foreign relations Denis Corboi met Georgian President Eduard Shevardnadze on July 22 to discuss abduction case of British citizen Peter Shaw, the State Chancellery (President’s administration) reports. 

The meeting was held beyond the closed doors. The EU envoy met Georgian President concerning the issue for the second time.

Seven criminals dressed in the police uniforms kidnapped co-director of the Agro-Business Bank of Georgia Peter Shaw on June 18. The Georgian law enforces claim almost everyday that the case will be investigate in the nearest days.
