Georgian, Armenian PMs Hold Phone Talk

Georgian Prime Minister Giorgi Kvirikashvili and his Armenian counterpart Nikol Pashinyan held a telephone conversation upon the latter’s initiative, the Georgian Government’s press service reported today.

According to the Government administration, PM Kvirikashvili congratulated Nikol Pashinyan on his election, and invited him to Georgia. “The sides focused on further strengthening the traditionally good-neighborly relations between the two countries,” it added.

The press service also reported that in the words of the Armenian Prime Minister, the Georgian-Armenian relations should develop “independently from geopolitical factors,” and that bilateral economic cooperation “should reflect the two countries’ special ties.”
