New Chief of Tbilisi Patrol Police Appointed

Colonel Kakha Bukhradze was appointed as the deputy director of the Patrol Police Department and a new chief of Tbilisi Police Main Division on February 5, replacing Vasil Petriashvili.

Prior to this new appointment, Bukhradze served as the head of regional police division in Kvemo Kartli region of eastern Georgia.

Earlier he headed the regional police division in Adjara, including during the unrests of March 12, 2017 that left police and private cars burnt, shops and city infrastructure damaged in an unexpected bout of violence.
