Lithuanian Foreign Minister Linas Linkevicius also commented on the 11th anniversary of “premeditated aggression against Georgia.”

Also on August 7, the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry released a statement, expressing “an unwavering support” for Georgia’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.

“We stress the need for peaceful resolution of the conflict based on fundamental principles and norms of international law and support the Georgian government’s peace initiative – “A step to a better future,” the statement reads.

The Ministry called on international community to continue “consolidated efforts” to restore territorial integrity and sovereignty of those countries, which had been affected by Russia’s aggressive policy.
