Cyberattack Hinders TV Pirveli Broadcasting

Interior Ministry launched an investigation into an alleged murder plot of two TV Pirveli journalists.

Tbilisi-based TV Pirveli has suspended broadcasting after cyberattack damaged its central server, the TV channel announced on August 13.

According to the statement released by the TV company, the cyberattack took place early this morning and “fully paralyzed the channel.”

It also said that the channel’s live broadcast has been interrupted and TV Pirveli is now trying to resume it by own forces.   

TV Pirveli’s broadcast was still suspended as of writing this news article.

The Interior Ministry has yet to comment on the matter.
