New Abkhaz Security Service Chief Appointed

Abkhaz leader Aslan Bzhania appointed yesterday Robert Kiut, 41, as the new head of the occupied region’s security service, where he served as the deputy chief and acting head since May 2020.

Kiut joined the Abkhaz security service in 2003 and held senior positions there since 2011.
