Stolen ballot box found in the Mtkvari River

A ballot box stolen from the election region #21 on the Nutsubidze Plato during the Vake district by-elections was found on the bank of the river Mtkvari. The box was thrown directly from the highway and the ballots were spread nearby.

According to the head of Vake district electoral commission Temur Kiknadze the ballots found on the bank of the river can not be used for the vote counting. The head of the NGO Fair Elections Nugzar Ivandze states that the elections were undemocratic, unfair and marked by serious violations.
