Parliamentary Chairmanship Candidates Made Program Speeches

(Tbilisi. November 9. Civil Georgia) – Contenders on the post of the Parliamentary Chairmanship made program speeches at the Parliament session. 

The issue of cabinet of minister’s and defeating corruption were the main topics of Nino Burjanadze’s speech.

Vazha Lordkipanidze emphasized on economic problems the Parliament should solve in the nearest future. He especially spoke about the necessity of amendments in the tax law.

The third candidate Jemal Gogitidze stated that the diffusion of tension within the parliament would be his prime goal and his destiny if elected on the post. He also stressed on the importance that the executive branch should be controlled by the Parliament.     

Election of the Chairman is to be held today.
