Parliament Condemns Bombardment of Pankisi
(Tbilisi. November 28. Civil Georgia) – The Georgian Parliament demands that the government strictly react on the bombardment of Pankisi gorge and condemn Russia’s actions towards Georgia.
MPs were to continue discussions on ministerial candidates. The special session of the Parliament started this morning with the statements of MPs condemning the bombardment of Georgian territory by the Russian helicopters and warplanes.
5 helicopters entered Georgian airspace from Russia and bombed unpopulated territory in Pankisi gorge, mountainous region in eastern Georgia, on November 27. According to other information sources, two Russian warplanes bombed the gorge.
