President Putin to Appoint Personal Representative in Georgian-Abkhazian Negotiations

(Tbilisi. December 3. Civil Georgia) – Russian President intends to appoint personal representative in Georgian-Abkhazian negotiations, Georgian President Shevardnadze stated today.

Eduard Shevardnadze already appointed on the post Head of the Autonomous Republic of Adjara Alan Abashidze on November 3.

Shevardnadze believes that Vladimer Putin has a positive attitude towards the resolution of the Abkhazian conflict.
 
Georgian President stated that his Russian counterpart would support the document submitted to the UN Security Council and vetoed by the Russian side for a several times concerning the status of Abkhazia within the Georgian state.
