Tax Revenue Minister Considers MP Demands for Budget Increase Unrealistic

(Tbilisi. December 28. Civil Georgia) – Levan Dzneladze, Georgian Tax Revenue Minister stated today that it is unrealistic to increase expenditures in 2002 budget.

Majority of MPs insist on increasing the expenditure by 100 million Lari (approximately $45 million).

At a special Parliamentary session on December 27 MPs criticized the proposed draft. It was agreed to to form the commission to re-work the draft and discuss the final version in January 2002.
